How to Run the Auto-Installation Script for OpenCart

OpenCart is an open-source e-commerce management system that supports multiple languages and currencies, as well as integration with popular payment systems and delivery services. Its core features can be expanded using extensions.
This guide will show you how to easily set up OpenCart on your server.

Note: The script will only work on servers running Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Log in to the Website. Use the credentials we sent to your email after registering on the site.

2. Select “Virtual Servers”. You can find this option in the “Products/Services” section.

3. Locate the server where you want to host your online store. Click the checkbox, then proceed to the control panel. If you don’t have a virtual server yet, you can easily order one by following these steps:

3.1. Open the PQ.Hosting homepage and scroll down slightly.

3.2. Choose the country where your server will be hosted. We recommend selecting a location close to your potential customers, as this will ensure faster website performance for them.

3.3. Select a pricing plan—this depends on your budget and the number of customers who will be shopping on your website simultaneously.

3.4. Click the arrows to view the full list of available plans.

3.5. Choose the rental period by hovering over the right side of the plan card and selecting the checkbox.

3.6. Click “Order Server.”

3.7. Configure your server: select the OS, pre-installed software, and other settings.

3.8. Complete the payment.

4. Go to the “Virtual Machines” section and click the three-dot menu next to the desired server.

5. Select “Run Script.”

6. Enter Opencart in the search bar and choose the found script.

7. Provide your email address—you will receive connection details and login credentials there.

8. Click “Run Script.” You can monitor the installation progress in the “Status” section.

9. Wait for the installation to complete—you’ll receive an email with login details.

10. Once installation is finished, open your browser and enter:
http://your-ip-address/install/index.php

 

11. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your online store. On the third setup page, use the credentials we sent to your email.
