How to Run the Auto-Installation Script for PrestaShop

PrestaShop is a free open-source platform for creating online stores. It is written in PHP and uses MySQL for data storage. Thanks to its extensive customization options, numerous modules, and themes, PrestaShop is ideal for small and medium-sized businesses. 

The platform supports multiple currencies and languages and can be integrated with payment systems and delivery services. In this guide, we’ll show you how to install this CMS on a virtual server in just a few clicks.

Note: The script will only work on servers running Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Log into Your Account. Use the credentials sent to your email after registration.

2. Select "Virtual Servers". This option can be found under the "Products/Services" section.

3. Find the Required Server. If you already have a virtual server, select it by clicking the checkbox and proceed to the management panel. If you don’t have a virtual server yet, follow these steps to order one:

3.1. Go to the PQ.Hosting homepage and scroll down slightly.

3.2. Select the server location. Choosing a region close to your main customers will speed up website loading times for them.

3.3. Choose a plan based on your budget and expected load.

3.4. Use the arrows to view the full list of available plans.

3.5. Select the rental period by checking the appropriate box on the right side of the plan card.

3.6. Click "Order Server".

3.7. Configure the server: choose the operating system, pre-installed software, and other parameters.

3.8. Pay for the service using any convenient payment method.

4. Go to the "Virtual Machines" section, click the three-dot menu next to your server.

5. Select "Run Script".

6. Start typing PrestaShop in the search bar: find and select the installation script.

7. Run the Installation: сlick "Run Script" and monitor the process in the "Status" section.

8. Wait for the Installation to Complete. Once the installation is finished, you will receive an email with login credentials for the PrestaShop admin panel.
