This day is dedicated to the invisible guardians of the Internet, without which we are like without hands.
Dear system administrators, we congratulate you on your professional holiday! Hooray-hooray!
Thank you for building and maintaining the entire computing world, giving your knowledge and help to everyone who faces the difficult task of setting up an IT infrastructure.
The history of this holiday began 23 years ago, when one system administrator thought that system administrators should feel gratitude from users. The "father" of the holiday is an American system administrator with 20 years of experience Ted Kekatos. He decided to create a special day dedicated to the profession of system administrator. The first such day, organized by Kekatos, took place on Friday, July 28, 2000. It was just a picnic on the outskirts of Chicago attended by members of a small software company. Since then, it has been customary to celebrate the holiday on the last Friday of July.
