Security

Wavecom provides an automatic DDoS protection service, implemented in partnership with the transit connectivity provider Arelion. When a threat is detected, the latter takes on the task of routing to the vulnerable IP address, after which traffic is directed through routers that clean the network traffic using BGP flowspec technologies. Finally, the cleaned and safe traffic is directed to Wavecom's routers.

All clients have access to:

• basic protection (included in all VPS plans completely free of charge). It includes blocking all known volumetric attacks and ICMP packets. 
• premium protection (offered individually for an additional cost). Includes advanced settings, for example, allowing specific IP addresses, SIP servers, DNS servers, protection templates for web servers. 

Pricing Policy

In its pricing, the Estonian hoster focuses on the following key principles – transparent tariffs, discounts for regular customers, and flexible methods of paying for virtual server rental. Three tariff plans are provided: Entry Web, Business, Premium.

All tariffs include:

• SitePad website builder;
• automatic backup;
• SSL certificate;
• cPanel;
• unlimited email accounts.

The hoster accepts payment for the virtual server monthly, quarterly, or you can pay for VPS/VDS usage for 6 or 12 months. However, it should be noted that the company reserves the right to change the cost of virtual server rental without prior notice to customers. 

Infrastructure 

Three optical cables in different directions with a capacity of 100 Gbit/s are laid from the data center to important communication hubs in Estonia. The data center is equipped with four Cisco Nexus 9300 series Data Center network switches, 2.5–5 Tbit/s, connected to a 100 Gbit/s backbone network.

Customer Support

Technical support does not operate 24/7; you can contact support only during business hours (indicated on the website),  using the available communication channels – phone, tickets in the personal account, online chat, or email. According to user reviews, support responds on the day of contact, but in some cases, the client's problem remains unresolved.
