Beget is a Russian hosting provider, positioning itself as a mass-market budget solution with a focus on shared hosting and VPS. The company houses its own racks in Tier-III data centers in Moscow and Kazan, betting on fast automatic activation and Russian-language support.
Security
Backups are created daily: for shared hosting plans, they are stored for up to 7 days, and for VPS — up to 14 days. Restoration is performed directly from the control panel, without contacting support. Basic DDoS protection operates at the data center level and is included in all plans; however, the exact activation thresholds are not published — if permissible traffic is exceeded, restrictions may be automatically imposed. Authentication logs are also available in the panel, but the provider does not specify their retention period.
Pricing Policy
In terms of positioning, Beget is closer to the budget segment: shared hosting starts from 69 ₽/month, VPS — from 189 ₽/month with annual payment.
Infrastructure
Server management is performed through a proprietary control panel: options include selecting the operating system, rebooting, creating snapshots, and basic resource monitoring. If necessary, you can install ISPmanager or upload your own ISO image. Network capabilities include gigabit channels and ports up to 1 Gbit/s with unlimited traffic, and for an additional fee, an upgrade to 10 Gbit/s is available. The VPS is based on KVM virtualization with SSD drives in RAID arrays; overselling is not mentioned in the specifications.
Data Centers
The provider focuses on a domestic audience: due to placement in Russian data centers, latency remains low, and a direct connection to MSK-IX helps minimize ping within the country. The infrastructure consists of two facilities at the Tier III with redundant power supply and diesel generators. Latency to Moscow is within 5–15 ms, to Yekaterinburg — about 25 ms.
